On September 15th, join us for a rockin' good time at the 3rd Annual Super Cooper's Rockin' Run and Family Fun festival to benefit Super Cooper's Little Red Wagon Foundation.  This fun filled family friendly event includes a Family Fun Run, 5K and Festival with:

• live music
• food truck alley
• giant slide
• mechanical bull
• mobile game unit
• live auction 
• and much more!

Same day registration and race bib pickup starts at noon.  During that time there will be a Performance Bike Rodeo, bike decorating and children's music with Rebecca Dyck.  The race begins at 2:00PM with the Family Fun Run followed by the 5K.  The Family Fun Run is open to all ages and abilities to run, walk, skip, dance, bike, scooter or any other method of finishing the 1.56 mile course. After the Family Fun Run, there will be a second start approximately 30 minutes later for the 5K.  The 5K is open to runners or walkers of all ages.

After the race,  entertainment and kid’s activities will kick off on the Southern Village Green.  There will be a giant slide, mechanical bull and mobile game unit not to mention live music, a silent and live auction and lots of entertainment for all ages.  The band Skinny Bag of Sugar will perform.  For a more detailed schedule, please see below.

This year your ticket includes all the fun of the Fun Run/5K and Festival activities as well as a tshirt (available if tickets purchased prior to August 28th). Food and drinks will be available for purchase from a range of vendors including some of the area’s best food trucks (cash or check only via Coop Cash).  Each vendor  is donating a portion of proceeds to the Super Cooper's Little Red Wagon Foundation.  Read below for more specifics on Coop Cash.

For a discounted ticket rate, buy your tickets before August 15th.  Tickets go up to $35 after August 15th.  

Funds raised from this event will be used to support the Super Cooper's Little Red Wagon Foundation mission of providing housing and support for families affected by brain tumors.  It is the mission of the Foundation to lift up families and strengthen them during their time fighting this disease. The 2012 Foundation fundraising goal is $75,000 to help reach our 2018 goal of $750,000. 

In addition, we are also offering Family Sponsorships this year for those families that want to do even more to help.  To purchase a Family Sponsorship, please email JJE76@aol.com to complete the order.  Family sponsorships include admission and tshirts for your immediate family.  Sponsorships begin at $250.

FAQ:

What’s Coop Cash?

In order to comply with Chapel Hill’s current ordinances regarding food trucks, OUR FOOD VENDORS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING CASH DIRECTLY FOR THEIR PRODUCTS.  All exchange of monies will occur through our organization, Super Cooper’s Little Red Wagon Foundation, which allows our food vendors to legally operate without purchasing special event permits and licenses from the city.  There will tables set up at the event, accepting cash and check, to purchase Coop Cash which can be used for purchasing food at any of the vendors.

Are only runners allowed in the Family Fun Run?

No,  the Family Fun Run is open to anyone and just about anything!  Run it, Walk it, Bike it, Scooter it- all are welcome (even 4 legged participants).  Starts will be staggered allowing bikes and scooters to start first.

Is there a family package?

No, for this year we have simplified the tickets to simply be a single price per person.  The price includes admission to the Festival, Fun Run/5K and all the entertainment.  Tshirts are also included if you purchase your ticket prior to September 1. 

What’s a family sponsorship?

A family sponsorship is available for those families who want to do even more to help the Super Cooper's Little Red Wagon Foundation.  A sponsorship includes individual tickets for your family as well  as provides for an additional contribution to the Foundation.
